Studio Fix: v1 Wake Up Toxin

well here it is. been meaning to get my art dump and pixel sites going and i got a big smack of inspiration to finish up the art one (nice and simple) the other day. i'm actually really happy with this XD! although the hand carrying the gun should probably be positioned differently T__T! inspired by `loish and =guava's neat use of textures i thought i'd have another crack at it. i've used textures before but not quite this strong and mostly i only used it on the background not the character itself. good times! i'm using two different textures here that i took pics of myself from around the house XD! that's hott.. anyway onto speccies...

Weapons of Choice: Staedtler 2H pencil (stepped away from the Bic mechanicals for a moment ), HP PSC 1500 scanner, WACOM Intuos 6x8 tabbie, Adobe PS7, and my new lil' Canon PowerShot digicam for the textures (coark bulletain board behind my comp on the desk and the lid of a metalic bin with crazy snow flakey patterns in it).

Design/Concept: for the layout i wanted something insanely simple. no borders or indications of tables or any of that. i guess i just didn't want anything to distract too much or clash with the drawing plus i'm a lazy fuck and can not STAND site keeping anymore T__T. think i got it across okay the code's simple enough and clean (so far anyway ). i'm more of a greeny turquoisy person, but the idea of cute lil' toxin waking up seemed to scream good morning warm colours <3!!

the site's nearly done just need to put some actual art up !! i've got just about everything else kickin'. also the name might change i know i wanted something with 'studio' or 'factory' and well any mac makeup user will know where i yoinked this title !! um what else... think that's it for this one. took much less than i'm used to. i think i really enjoy working harder on the pencil lines instead of drawing crappy and expecting to 'fix it up in PS'. too much pressure that way and it's no fun XD! it's like this nasty doomful cloud hanging over the drawing all 'fix hands fix hands fix hands'.
